No Ties in Playoff Games

No playoff game can end in a tie:
- If within five (5) minutes remaining in the ice time, the score is tied or becomes tied, regulation time will end immediately and proceed to a shootout. All players are eligible to participate in the shootout unless they are serving a ten-minute misconduct or have been assessed a match penalty or a game misconduct (including the three minor penalty rule game misconduct).
- In the first round of the shootout, three (3) players from each team will alternate (with the home team shooting last). If still tied after the first round, the shootout will proceed to a "sudden death" format. No player may shoot twice until everyone who is eligible has shot
